Hello Crafty friends! I have been MIA for a couple of weeks, and for that I apologize. No worries, today I am back with a card featuring products from the Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Splendor Release. It is so hard to believe that Fall is upon us already! I don't know about you, but Fall is my favorite time of year. I love to watch the colors change on the trees and feel the chill in the air!
I had so much fun putting this card together, and have incorporated pieces from several of the stamp sets offered in the Autumn Splendor Release with Honey Bee Stamps. A complete list of supplies can be found below.
I started with an A2 card tent cut from Neenah Environment Desert Storm 80# cardstock, and cut the front panel 3 3/4" x 5" adding paint splatters in orange and gold toned acrylic paint.
Die cut the lovely layers sunflower and blend ink on the petals to add some dimension and texture to the card. I started with yellow cardstock, but white cardstock with blended ink would work just as well. I applied Distress Oxide Ink in several different orange tones and added paint splatters with orange acrylic paint.
The center of the sunflower has gold acrylic paint randomly splotched down to give it the appearance of more flower buds in the center. (Did you know more flower petals are growing from the center of the flower?). I die cut the leaves with green cardstock, and added some green tone Distress Oxide ink to add some shading to the leaves. Again, white cardstock with green ink applied would also work just fine for this.
I also used flowers from the Bold Botanical stamp and die set to add with the sunflower. I think they pair very nicely.
Die cut the Burlap Background and cut a small piece to place behind the scene. Die cut the branch and berries images from the Garden Harvest Floral Stamp and Die set, and color them with Copic markers. Add glossy accents to the berries to add some texture.
The sentiment is from the Praying Big Time Stamp and Die set, using Wow Chocolate Caramel embossing powder. I stamped the secondary sentiment in black ink, and fussy cut it down to size, using foam tape to pop out all of the elements. You can never go wrong with foam tape in my opinion! Last, but never least I added some sequin to give it some sparkle and dew drops in the center of the flower.
The options are endless with these images, and I have images of table name tags, and napkin rings dancing through my head! (Blog Post coming soon).
