Craft Roulette #73 Submission

Happy Day Crafty Friends! As most of you know by now, I have become a HUGE fan of the Craft Roulette show, hosted by Mary Gunn Funn. Friday night the wheel was in a really good mood and allowed everyone to choose their own color scheme. Such a relief!! What is your go to color? I have recently been inspired to stop hoarding my designer paper, and start using it in my cards. It really made things so much easier when deciding which background to use for my card tonight.

Mary spent the wheel, and these were the parameters my card had to meet.

  1. Matchbook Card

  2. Any color combination

  3. Flower

  4. Something from your messy desk (mesk)

This card features the layered antique rose from Altenew, and I just love it! These dies are so easy to assemble, and make the most beautiful flowers for your card making, and scrapbooking needs! This die calls for 4 different layers, which means 4 different paper colors. I have a lot of colored paper in my stash, so I randomly chose an ombre of red paper to assemble the flower.

Card Instructions

  1. For the card base on this matchbook card I cut the standard A2 size ( 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and scored it at 1/2" on the bottom, and 5" for the center fold. I later went back and trimmed a tad more off the top cover so it would fit nicely into the lip, creating the matchbook card.

  2. Next, I found some old designer paper I have had in my stash for a long time and cut it to size, using double sided tape to adhere it.

  3. I arranged the die cuts the way I liked them on the card, and used a sentiment that I had in my stash. Viola!, you have your very own matchbook card.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and taking a look. I appreciate your support and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you! Have a terrific week ahead.
