MFT Stamps Summer School 2020
Updated: Feb 1, 2021
I had a great time participating in the 5-day Summer School hosted by MFT Stamps. I learned some things I didn't know, and think the cards came out looking good!
Day #1: The Visual Triangle

For my card today I used the A-Roar-Able Friends Stamp Set by MFT Stamps. This stamp set brought me straight back to my childhood! I love dinosaurs and had a huge collection of them. I hand drew dinosaurs on my oldest son's 1st birthday invitations, and wish this stamp set existed back in the early 90's. LOL! I had a blast making this card, and I hope you will too!
"The Visual Triangle" is a path for your viewers eye's to see your entire card design. I've never heard of this, and I'm so glad I do now! It has made cards much easier to design, keeping the triangle in mind. My card has 3 visual triangles. I have to admit that it does make it nicer to look at when your eyes have a path to follow!!
I used a piece of white card stock cut 4"x 5 1/4" and stamped the triceratops dinosaur first.
I masked the triceratops using a piece of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets and stamped the T-Rex next, also creating a mask. The last dinosaur stamped in this scene is the Brontosaurus. I stamped the bird, and the tree last.
Next, I used a circle stencil that I made with a circle die, and created a sunset behind the dinosaurs. Next time, I think I will place it a little bit lower down with the dinosaurs! After the ink was down for the sunset, I pulled the masks off and grabbed my Copic Markers and started coloring.
Day #2: Rainbow

Day 3: Symmetry

Day 4: Ombre

Day 5: White Space
