Seasonal Scene Building

We are down to the very last submission before my final with the first portion of the AECP with Altenew, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I have worked hard to reach this point, and would say that I have learned a ton and my cards have gotten better throughout this process. So, without further ado; lets get started!

Camping Season has finally arrived, and I cannot wait to go out and explore the Forests of the Pacific Northwest, so I chose to use my Camp Life stamp set from Altenew for this assignment. To begin with, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4 and placed the stamps where I would like them to be on the card.

I used the chair stamp image first and stamped it in black ink. I cut a piece of masking paper and covered the chair image so I could stamps the rock and grass images in various locations on the card front, and again used the dies to cut masking paper so I could cover the image. Lastly I stamped the tent image down where I wanted it. (If you do not have masking paper, you can also use sticky notes as a mask to cover your stamped image).

Keeping the stamped imaged covered, I used a blending brush and my Altenew Crisp Ink Dyes in Heart Beat and Fresh Lemon to create a sunset in the background. Once the ink was blended I used my Copic Markers E33 and E35 to create the ground of my camping scene. I used C5, C7, C8 for the Rocks, and G07, G09 for the grass. I colored the chair with R05, R08, and R59, and the tent with B00, B02, and B18. The interior of the tent was colored with C0, and C01.

I stamped the sentiment with Altenew Crisp Ink Permanent Black and adhered some enamel dots for a little bit of extra flare. This was a fun card for me to make, and has really inspired me to make more scenes for my greeting cards. This could be used for a masculine birthday card or any occasion in between
